Paxton Creek Watershed and Education Association (PCWEA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and improvement of the Paxton Creek Watershed.
We provide outreach and educational resources on stormwater management, water quality, flood prevention, and responsible watershed stewardship to residents, businesses, civic groups, and municipalities.
How we work:
- Host educational programs and workshops
- Coordinate volunteer projects
- Offer free plants for riparian buffer plantings
- Provide how-to information for protecting and improving backyard creeks and streams
- Conduct regular meetings for the purpose of guiding the organization and informing the public
- Distribute seasonal newsletters and post routinely to social media
- Encourage participation in citizen science projects
